Dynadot, Do I need hosting to buy

domains? Or do I just get a free account and purchase domains for the listed price? Does Dynadot allow buyers of domains to create free accounts so names can be pushed to them? I read here that pushes from account to account with them are free , but found nothing about buyers being able to get free accounts.
If I did buy hosting and had a few small blogs with pictures, what type of plan would be sufficient? Dynadot seems really cheap for the great service I've read about. Am I missing some other costs that one would need to incur for domain registering and selling ? Any responses would be much appreciated and will be given rep points. Thanks for reading.

you don't need hosting, domain push is free, accounts are free (it says so on the sign up form here https://www.dynadot.com/create_account.html), dynadot hosting was extremely limited the last time i checked, i would recommend shopping around a bit more.

yep. dynadot hosting is still useless for anything but the most basic of websites:

- Does NOT support databases.
- Does NOT support server-side scripting. (No PHP, cgi, etc.)

Yea, -NC- is right. I have used dynadot for over 2 years, and have hundreds of domains with them. I swear by there domain's, however, I would shop around before using there hosting.

Thanks for the replies, so if I just buy these domains

and have no hosting for them , I can still push them no problem for free at dynadot. I can't park without hosting, or can I?

hosting is mostly independent of where the names are registered (unless you want email services, which you can still do, it just takes some more advanced dns management )

parking is completely independent of registrar, and you don't need hosting. you just change the nameservers for the domain to the parking companies nameservers.

Dynadot domain tasting: I've read here that they

have a process whereby the user actually pays 7.99 for a name and can then return the name for a refund. Is this accurate?, I am guessing this means you must have this money in there to taste as they will treat it as a purchase. Or, maybe it doesn't factor in as long as its refunded before the next bill. Any experience with dynadot tasting? If the "purchase tasting" is true, who else is good for tasting. Good hassle free service as well as good cheap. Replies much appreciated.

you get a refund for account credit. not a refund in cash. the money is taken at the time you register, they don't bill you later!

Replies much appreciated, who do you recommend for

tasting? I tried to give you more reps points, but the system says give some to other people, and I did , but it still said were glad you like this user but no more points yet.

Plus, you can only return it within I think 3 days of your purchase date. When you park a web page, the park"er" will provide you with default NS to use.
