Have good luck for one year by helping this newbie

Hello. I am interested in names. I would like to have the .com, of course, but the more common names are taken. Would it be profitable to try the other extensions, esp .info or .us? What does a top 100 sur or first name go for approx? Is the plural ie..like Sheltons worth reging? Thank you and if you touch the smile to the right you will receive your good luck.

start with dot coms to be safe. The other domain extensions are considered speculative, and risky. I've registered a few and have only managed to sell them at registration fee.

Buy both with "s" and without "s" only on godaddy, then ask for an appraisal, the one that is not good should be cancelled and you can get a refund (within 5 days only)
Practice for .com's, look sedo for recent sales, grab names with other extensions (if recent sales show $xxxx or $xxx High)
This shall help to get the ball rolling

Check recent sales at DNJournal.com, SEDO, Afternic, etc.

If looking for moderate sales check Afternic Bazaar and here, of course.

*touched the smiling face and got a shock...what does that mean?

I would suggest reading through these forums for a week and asking many questions and your soon start understading the whole industry a lot better, well it helped me so I'm sure it will for you too. It takes awhile to know which other tld's work well, you need to start with a few names to get the feel for it so maybe just buy 10 .infos at reg price and put them online just to get a feel for it.

i agree with this, this will be your best option. Have a look around the forum. See what people are saying see what problems they are having so you can make sure you miss those problems.

who is recomending domain tasting here? it's only kiting (tasting) if you throw the domains back before the 5 day grace period is up. imho, icann is more crooked than congress for even having the 5 day rule.
