Going to auction on Sedo - does the original offer still stand?

I received an offer for a name I have listed at Sedo. I'd like to send the name to auction to see if I can do any better, but I'm not sure if that means I'll lose the commitment of the current potential buyer's offer. Can anyone explain to a Sedo newbie how this works? Can I be assured that I will at least get this offer amount if I send the domain to auction? If so why would anyone not send a name that received an offer to auction?

Thanks for your help!

You have the choice to send the domain to auction, if you feel you're stuck in negotiations, that the bidder can't or isn't willing to offer more for your domain.

The current offer you now have on your domain will be the reserve price in the auction, when nobody else bids on your domain the original bidder will acquire the domain for the current offer you have now.

The buyer is under contract to buy the domain but if he/she wouldn't i don't think there is much you can do about it though.
Sedo would probably ban them from the Sedo platform.

Why some people don't send the domain to auction right away is common courtesy, mention something along the lines of this to the bidder.

Hey - thanks so much for your reply. I've sent the name to auction - let's hope the bidder doesn't bail on me..
