If you are planning on purchasing a few good generic/brandable names, stick with .coms as they will always hold their value. The .mobi ext is still fairly new and even though it has become fairly popular with the reselling/domaining markets it is uncertain how the public will take the new ext down the road.

Honestly...

Stick with .com

I recommend reviewing the sales of domain names as a whole, and see which tld performs better? The truth is - if your a company looking to purchase a domain name to build a site or platform on, what TLD are you going to choose?

.com - without a doubt. I wouldnt build anything on any other TLD. In the public conscious there is .com and everything else. Learn about what makes a domain valueable, then go after a few domains in teh aftermarket or the drop catchers. Good luck!

I would also vote for .com

It does have more development potential. And can be sold later on without any problems.

Thanks.
