| New Member | Hello Folks, This is my first post here found this site by chance when Googling regarding a domain sale listed on another webmaster forum. Anywho here is my situation: I registered a domain back in 2002, basebubba.com (an old screen name of mine), I've forgotten all about until a friend mentioned it to me. It's registered to me at my old address, in fact typing in the domain still redirects you to my ISP web hosting account. I remember buying the domain name with some type of Yahoo mail plus service, however I don't remember registering it for that long. Here is the WHOIS for the domain Now here's the problem, I've long since forgotten the Yahoo ID associated with that domain. I cannot even back trace with a credit card number because I have all new cards. I fired off an email to Yahoo support, I fully expect them to be their typical non-helpful selves with a canned response. It's not that *big* of a deal for me, I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with this type of situation? Thanks in advance, Dan |

| SI: ServiceInteract | I'm not sure about Yahoo's policy but when I was with eNom, a reseller shut down and my domain was stuck and I could not edit my domain. I had to send eNom a whois of a domain I owned with the same whois and they transfered it to me. I suggest calling them and seeing if a driver license is a way. Good luck. |

| New Member | Thank you for the replies. I wanted to post an update. Yahoo was of no help to me, I got back an automated response and griped about it. Finally I got a human who basically told me the cannot release the Yahoo ID associated with any given domain for privacy reason. I can understand that, even though it's working against me at the this time. I'll wait until it expires and maybe buy it from another registrar. |

| NamePros Member | Dan, That whois link you posted doesn't show the registrar's name. I used betterwhois.com and the registrar is MELBOURNE IT, LTD http://www.melbourneit.com.au/ Contact them and explain the problem. As you're down as both the Organisation Name and Admin Name for the domain they should be able to sort something for you. |
