What Mail Address Should You Contact An End User?

If you want to contact an end user about selling your domain name to them, what mail address should you contact them at? Usually, most websites just give some customer service mail address at their 'Contact Us' page or some contact form.
Or do you simply look the name of their website's domain name's Whois and contact on the listed mail address?

I haven't done direct contact in a while, but I think a lot depends on the size of the company. For large companies you want the marketing department or maybe the head of their website development. You need to get to someone who knows the value of having a new domain and the benefits it may bring them. For small companies, you probably want the owner or an officer of the company who can make a decision. A lot of time you'll be better looking at their website for contacts than their whois record. Often the whois is an independent web development company or somone in IT who won't try to talk marketing or the owners/officers into buying another domain.

so how do you get these contact information? Most websites don't supply this information.

I haven't done any direct selling yet. Parking and waiting has worked well for me, but I have some names that I know will find easy buyers if I just tried.

So once again, where can I get the contact addresses of the decision making people? Most websites don't mention them.

If it's a big company call them up and ask for information to contact the marketing department.
If it's a small company then call them up and ask to speak with the owner if the owner already doesn't answer your call.

Google "Cold Calling" (Use quotes) and you'll will find lot's of information on the subject.
