![]() | Advice Pls, Pls What do you think of 3 letter .name domains? I purchased Tex.name. I saw several interesting .names. Should they always be names. Just wanting to hear your opinions and the "rules" on .names. Thank you |

????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-newbies/349307-advice-pls-pls.html Obviously Tex.com would cost $100k+ for her to buy, so the purpose of the registration was taking advantage of an opportunity that was available in an extension that did match the name. Mind you that I am letting 3 letter .name's drop (All gone now, methinks), but my original registration of a .name was not because I did not realize the value of the .com in comparison... -Allan

![]() | Thank you all for the advice. I unfortunately cannot afford the .com. I would definately prefer it over the .name version. I am a newbie with a minimal budget and will hopefully grow to where I can afford a better quality of names. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Buy quality. .name is not quality. What's the business model for tex.name? Nothing I can think of. Who would pay lots of money for tex.name?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm thinking that .name extension don't really have that much value right now because they are not in great demand. In addition, there are a lot of extension that he or she can choose from. Correct me if I'm wrong, .com extension is the very first and only extension that was available in the mid 90's and therefore it is impossible to snag a 3 letter domain words today for a decent/affordable price?
