Hi,

I've just sold a domain name. Its currently with Go Daddy. How do I transfer it over to another person?

Please help all suggestions appreciated.

Thanks

Paul

If you transfer the domain from your godaddy to another persons godaddy account then its called "Push".

If you transfer the domain from your godaddy account to another persons another registrar(for eg: moniker, enom etc" then its calling "Transfer".

I think if you search a bit on "Push" you will get your answer.

Hello pexus1976,

To push a domain from your Godaddy account to someone else:

1. Login at Godaddy and go to your account page.
2. Click on the "manage domains" link.
3. Select the domain you want to push, and click the "Account Change" icon.
4. Enter contact information for the new registrant and click "Continue."

(Obviously, make sure you have the domain recipient's contact info before you start).

Lol I've always hated that...ending up having to type "please change" in every box. Why won't they let us just type in an username!

As others already stated a domain transfer can involve two different actions, a transfer or a push. Depending on whether your buyer is at the same registrar as you are one of those will apply (transfer for another registrar, push for the same).

If it is a push, the only thing you have to do is to push the domain from your account to the buyer's one, given the instructions posted by clocker24.

If it is a transfer, you would have to unlock the domain and the buyer would have to initiate the transfer at his/her registrar.
