| dot TV'er | If you are the only one who back ordered the domain and it was caught by your registar then it is automatically awarded to you. Kate is correct in her explanation If there are others who also back ordered and no one makes a bid.

If a domain name is registered with GoDaddy or one of its sister companies (BlueRazor.com / WildWestDomains.com) it will go to TDNAM regardless of Backorder. The backorder simply acts as the first bid on the domain name. If a domain name is backordered with GoDaddy but is at another registrar and the domain is captured it is then awarded to the only backorder. It is not sent to TDNAM in this case. However - GoDaddy backorders are pretty much worthless, they cant compete with Snap / Pool / and ClubDrop. Too many registrars with way more connections to the registry. I would recommend avoiding backorders at GoDaddy altogether. If a domain is at Godaddy, watch for it on TDNAM and then bid at the last minute. Your safest bet to get the domain for as cheap as possible. Good luck, Justin (Former GoDaddy Employee)
