![]() | If I backorder a domain, and it goes to an auction And yet no one bids on the Auction, where does that domain usually go? I think it would only go up on Auction if others backordered it also, so how is this resolved? Thanks |

![]() | It will be awarded to the auction winner provided the domain owner does not pay the redemption fee. If there is no bidder it will go to the backorder holder. And there can be many backorder holders. Most companies offer this service. |

????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-newbies/347400-if-i-backorder-domain-goes-auction.html If a domain name is registered with GoDaddy or one of its sister companies (BlueRazor.com / WildWestDomains.com) it will go to TDNAM regardless of Backorder. The backorder simply acts as the first bid on the domain name. If a domain name is backordered with GoDaddy but is at another registrar and the domain is captured it is then awarded to the only backorder. It is not sent to TDNAM in this case. However - GoDaddy backorders are pretty much worthless, they cant compete with Snap / Pool / and ClubDrop. Too many registrars with way more connections to the registry. I would recommend avoiding backorders at GoDaddy altogether. If a domain is at Godaddy, watch for it on TDNAM and then bid at the last minute. Your safest bet to get the domain for as cheap as possible. Good luck, Justin (Former GoDaddy Employee)
