| NamePros Member | Received an offer. Need advice. I received an offer on sedo for one of my domains. I picked up the domain at snapnames about a week ago so it can't be transferred for about another 50 days (end of August) Is this going to be a problem? Should I ignore the offer and hope there will be another one once the domain can be transferred? |

| Account Closed | hi gubera Good Luck for your auction. As eg.domains has said 1. "Push" the domain is transfering the domain name from one account to another account within the same registrar. Here there is no 60 day rule. You can push once you register a name. 2. Transfering a domain means transfering from one account to another account with different registrars. Here the 60 day rule comes in effect. Hope this helps. BTW i am a newbie just trying to figure out things |

| NamePros Regular | To clarify, you can sell the name. The person who buys the name must keep it with the same registrar. For example, if the domain name is at godaddy, the new owner must get a godaddy account and keep the domain there until the 60 days are over. If the name is registered at moniker, the buyer needs a moniker account. If it's registered at fabulous, the buyer needs a fabulous account. Etc., etc., etc. Some registrars make you keep the account there an additional 60 days if you make any changes. If you change the contact info at godaddy, the name needs to stay at godaddy an additional 60 days. Typically the seller offers to set up an account for the buyer, and the registrar's tech support should be able to teach you how to do this. I hope this makes sense, and good luck with the sale!

| NamePros Member | I picked it up for reg fee at snapnames a couple of weeks ago and I just liked that it sounded good and it had 'music' in it. I have a couple of domains that I want to develop because they have a very specific use. This was not one of them. All I can think of is something with music/mp3/mp3 player. I can't wait to see what the new owner will do with this domain. I did not do any marketing, just put it on sedo. It's awesome to see my sale on sedo and namebio! |
