| New Member | Getting Chinese Direct Traffic - How Do I Monetize This? I picked up a 4 letter domain for $9 with the intent to build a Jeep website and it's been sitting for a couple of weeks with Google Analytics on it until I get the design and content together. I checked it today and 64 visitors from china have visited so far. Evidently instead of going to domain.com.cn, they're typing in domain.com. I wasn't expecting this and really not sure what to do now. I put AdSense on it but since I don't know Chinese I put a few words in Google translator and pasted the result on the page hoping Adsense would know what it says... ![]() Anyone with experience monetizing a chinese website? Thanks |

| New Member | I'm getting 5 a day and the .cn site is a PR1 and is ranked 5M in Alexa. Yahoo has no backlinks for it. They're all type-in traffic and they're from all over China with about 1/3 of them returning visitors. I'm not so sure it's a typo from them leaving the .cn off, it might be a typo from another site. I put Amazon links on it but they haven't clicked one yet. I was hoping since they have Amazon.cn (Joyo.com) they would translate for me. I still haven't found a solution to monteize the site. Adsense didn't work, they only showed Public Service ads because I didn't have any words on the page. I think I need some Chinese content but am not sure how to go about that. |
