Godaddy problems

HI,

I registered two of my first domains yesterday and today i have received two emails from Godaddy stating i requested cancellation of both and they have refunded me. I also cannot now login to my account with Godaddy as they say it dosent exsist. Is this kind of thing normal because how the hell do you know if a domain is yours or not if this kind of thing happens. Surely if they say a name is available to register and you pay thats it?? Maybe im being pretty naive but i look forward to your help as this is not quite the start i wanted into my new found interest.

Thanks

Jonny

That's normal if you try to catch a nice name or was just dropped. There are many domainers do the same as you. At the time you check, it was availabe, but after that 1/100000 second, it has gone.

gmtfan is right, I have had the same happen to me especially with Godaddy.
I have also had the same problem with the account that you have. I was told that the account had been locked for security purposes. This is done if you enter a wrong number or date etc on your credit card account. To unlock it you have to either phone them or try to reset your password.

Good luck,

Len.

I think you need to contact them via phone call. Thats the best way to resolve the issue. Often times they will cancel the domain if they suspect fraud. If the domain is still available at other registrars, I would call immediately if your in fear of losing the domain. I believe they will resolve your issue quickly.

Thanks for your help guys!!

Just had an email from godaddy and it was suspected fraud because im in Moscow working right now and the account details are from Uk. Its all been sorted now and i got my domains with domainsite

Can anybody give me any ideas on how much to sell a domain to a company who want it due to it being very similar to theirs. What kind of things determines how much i should ask because they want it but are saying it depends how much i want for it.

Thanks in advance

Jonny
