You would need an EPP code from yahoo. You can contact yahoo support for this, otherwise I believe they are a reseller for melbourneIT which you can try to contact. Get the EPP, make sure your email on whois is valid. Go to NC and initiate a transfer. Enter EPP Code, complete checkout and approve any transfer request emails within the next few days...

And after you follow the advice above be sure to cancel the domain from your Yahoo account or Yahoo will continue to bill you for the "phantom" domain.

What happens after confirming the EPP Code?

What happens after confirming the EPP Code? I'm transferring to GoDaddy from Yahoo! I've done the EPP code and confirmed it at GoDaddy. GoDaddy says the next step is to wait for Yahoo! to ask me to confirm I wish to transfer.

Frankly this is a lot of hassle for a Domain name transfer!

Anyhow does anyone REALLY know what happens next?

An important lesson learned for Newbs: make sure you register at reputable registrars that have easy push/transfer options. Yahoo, 1and1, and RegisterFly are notorious for hassles and problems.
