i was wondering if anybody will alot of experience could guide me and answer any questions, i just want to just private message anyone and get flamed or whatever. if you can help me, could you reply or private message me, then ill message you with some questions.

If you read the forum rules then you should not get flamed by anyone. if you do I would report them to the admin. This topic is for people like you that are new and have a lot of questions, so I would just post them. If you do just a little bit of work first and try to find the answer yourself, either by searching in Google or here at the forums, it will help to keep you from asking questions that may have already been asked.

If you still want to ask something via a PM you can ask me, but I may not be able to answer quickly. :-)

If its about Domain names you can ask here freely and no one gonna flame you since this is newbie forum. if its something which is you think you might get flamed why not PM to mod and ask first ?

Yah, dont worry about that. Especially in this forum thread. This is designed for new people in the industry and your questions will be answered by very helpful members. Not only that, but perhaps your question is something others would like the answer to, another good reason to post here first.

ok well.
if i buy a domain and am about to sell it and they transfer the money to me then what do i have to do?
i heard you have to "push" the name. can someone explain that.
also how do you find the right domain for you or to sell or develop.

a "push" is when a domain is moved from 1 account to another within the registrar. So for example I register a domain name at GoDaddy, I would push the domain into the buyers account at GoDaddy.

finding the right domain is the hardest part. Depending on what your trying to do there are hundreds of ways to do it. I tend to buy expired domain names that just dropped or expiring domains at auction. I recommend reading many of the forums here for more knowledge. The more you know, the better you do.

well for the past week i've been browsing the forums and posting sometimes. im picking things up slowly. i'll just give it another week or two then give it all a go.

Use the search feature (simple and advanced) to try to see if someone asked the question you are looking for an answer to.

If you cannot find it, choose the most appropriate category, and ask away. You'll find NamePros is different.
