![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | dude, I am sorry to say, there is NO perfect company. I used to think namecheap was a superb company. But after reading their problems in this thread, looks like everyone has their own fault. http://www.namepros.com/legal-issues...ml#post1761210 |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have used Godaddy but havent had a problem with them. Namecheap is also good. but wut i think is that having 2 registrars is better then have all domains in same place.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Moniker would be my choice. Hit the domain reviews section and you'll see numerous other registrars which would be bad choices. If you plan to sell domains, choose a rock solid registrar. I have refused to make even lowball offers for great domains simply because they were at a disreputable registrar.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The reason why you should spread your domains among multiple registrars is that if one goes down you still have access to your other domains. Its a case of avoiding putting all your eggs in one basket. Personally I like creativeon.com because they are a directi reseller and that means that if anything goes wrong I can just push my domain to any other directi reseller in the world. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | abdussamad makes a reasonable point about using multiple registrars. "Goes down" has two meanings: one is temporary inaccessibility, and the other is complete dissolution/bankruptcy. The registrar reviews can give you insight into the temporary inaccessibility issue. There's a thread about what happens if the registrar dissolves on the board somewhere. In the end, you'll want to find a registrar you think will be around for the life of your domain.

![]() ![]() | Definitely not Godaddy. My best domain expired due to me writing down the wrong expiry date on my master sheet. I have over 40 names registered so keep tabs on them by checking my master list monthly and naturally, I received reminders from the domain registrars...or so I thought. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-newbies/293261-which-registrar.html This particular name attracted a lot of attention and offers. I checked my websites after being on xmas holidays and it went to another website. When I checked, it had been onsold by Godaddy after being expired for 30 days. No email reminders from Godaddy at all. You might wonder why? When I checked, I found that just somehow, my email address had somehow changed so reminders were going into cyberspace. After reading all the crap on Godaddy, I moved all my domains into one central registrar and I now check regularly. By the way, the one registrar is namecheap. I can't fault them. Their backup is great, and their reminders are over the top, but hey, I can handle that as I don't want another godaddy problem. Can anyone tell me how I find out how much my domain was sold for.
