Buying and Selling Domains

I am looking to do this (buying and selling domains, or parking them) more as a hobby than to make a lot of money. I have $300 to start with.
I would really appreciate a few recommendations on where to start. What should I look for when researching a domain I could buy for under that price? What tools can I use?
Please help me out!
THanks!

Id use that money at 1st to buy a revenue earning site and promote the site more try making it more profitable then u will have the money u earn from the site while you own it and more money once u sell it.

While u are doing that stuff, u can research here and read all of the threads on domaining and see what good names are nad what they go for, once u sell your site u will have good money to work with and the knowledge to not waste it.

Not trying to promote a certain members names to buy over a others, but I will give a example of a good investment.

I think buying a name that already is making money is a good way for you to go.

For instance, Kerrijo I think it was recently posted a name for sale for $160. and she makes over $100.00 a year in parking revenues. How can you go wrong with that?

Not saying that is name is the one you want, but it is better than buying a bunch of names and then later realizing they are lame, like many of us did the first year or two in this business.

So look around and maybe you will find a name that is for sale with earning income already.

Thanks for the responses.
When you say revenue earning, are you referring to parking revenue, or a developed site?

pick a niche, research, ask a respected member before spending your money if you are not sure, don't waste it by regging domains, invest wisely in a good name and your roi will be better than money in any bank

Check current market value. Buy low and sell high. Like stocks.
