question about appraisel

I had a domain name appraised for around $150,000 on leapfish.com. Can you tell me what this means and if the domain is really worth that much? Any info would be great. Thanks for your help.

What is the name? A keyword of advice if your new to domaining, dont put to much stock into those free appraisal sites. If you really want a name appraised take it to a professional, or just let people make offers on the name for you.

Even professionals can't say for sure

You should ask your luck and your efforts to find a suitable buyer. A rock for most people may sell as gem to the right person. This is a generic rule but applies to domain names too

I don't know your name but i can tell you with 80% certainty that if you don't deal with domain names and this name was not registered aroung 1994-2001 then it doesn't worth so much

Domains have no intrinsic value, they are worth what is paid for. The current market for a domain is the number of people that have money ready to buy it immediately, with or without third party advice. If You register a domain for $30 then getting for it $60 is already nice. People who absolutely want a certain domain will pay almost anything. Appraising is just opinion selling business. If You believe in it, then go for it. Keep in mind that some fellow may be desperately looking for a domain like Yours, whatever that may be. A little negotiating may prove far more effective than throwing around value estimations.
