I really recommend 1and1.com. I use them since approx 5 years. Certainly they are in Germany but with the backbone structure of today nobody really cares. They have good prices, up-to date hardware and certainly a US subsidary.

I highly advise against 1and1. Search the forum and you will see the horror stories. Pay the extra 3-4 dollars and go with a good registar

Well actually there seem to be a few issues. However I still recommend it. Maybe I never had any trouble because I never used their customer support.

Just wait until you want to drop a domain. It is a project to get it taken off your account. Among the many other troubles you must go through. It will happen soon enough.

Umm !

Please dont remind me of this one and Registerfly. I dont want to mention the trouble and pain I had to undergo with them. I would stay off them and use others.

Wow I had over a 150 domains registered with 1and1. Sold some and bought some once in a while. One day I deleted like 40 domains. I never had any trouble. When I deleted one of my servers with approx 75 domains I also didn't had any trouble. Maybe I am just lucky however I personally never had any issues with them.

BankRaid.com is a great consolidation of the crap that 1and1.com pulls. I can't recall another registrar that evokes such emotion that one is compelled to spend such time warning people about them. Shouldn't that in itself be a warning?

Never, I repeat NEVER use 1 and 1. They are worst out there. I mean the worst bar none. Let's put it another way if there was one compnany in the world I would tell everyone to stay away from it would be them. They are the biggest scam artist you will find. I like Enom.com, Moniker.com, Godaddy.com, Domainsite.com to name a few. One more time in case you did not understand do not use 1 and 1 EVER for ANYTHING not even if you needed life support just pull your own plug because they would make death more painful.

Cheers,

Acro

Did I mention I hate 1 and 1. If 1 and 1 was a village I would destroy it along with all of it's inhabitants. I would leave no 1 and 1 villagers alive to reproduce. For those of you that don't get it yet, let me explain something. Some companies make mistakes, 1 and 1 is purposefully misleading, stealing, and defrauding the public. They are not making any mistakes they are doing all of this intentionally and when brought to their attention they do nothing about it. NOTHING, thay suck beyond belief. If you are wealthy and have allot of time to kill use 1 and 1 and maybe you can find out what I am taking about.

Hi
Enom is good, the nameservers update very quickly at enom but take longer at godaddy in my experience. So if you want to change them quickly reg at enom.
