| Account Closed | Hey, Thought I would post this to you all. I am a big HostMySite addict and they are offering $2.95 domains until Dec. 31. They are a great hosting company too, if you want to buy in bulk open up a chat window and they can do it there. LandRush |

The Control Panel is very limited. You cannot change the Name Servers. You can only point to an IP address. You cannot lock/unlock your domain(s). The Auth Code is NOT listed anywhere. If you get tempted to reg lots of domains you may find yourself in Domain Hell. You'll have to contact the company for everything you want to do with your domains. Domains are renewed automatically. You cannot turn it off. Their Terms of Service require you to notify them by telephone or email at least 2 weeks before the domain's expiration date that you don't want to renew. I've been down this road several times before. (Dot5Hosting, 1and1, Yahoo Domains, DomainsAreFree, RegFly, APlus, IPowerNet, FreeStarter). All offered cheap domain reg but the amount of time wasted contacting those companies and all the aggravation made the real price very expensive. You've been warned! Good luck, Patrick Last edited by tricolorro; 12-12-2006 at 04:02 PM. Reason: additional comment

I wanted to make a correction to my previous Post above. You CAN change Name Servers but not thru the ControlPanel. Your domain is locked there and you cannot unlock it yourself. However if you go to: https://manage.safesecureweb.com/ you can Unlock/Lock your domain, Change Name Servers, get the Auth Code, etc ...but... you will need to get the User Name and Password to log in which is different from your regular User name and Password. You cannot change this other User name and Password. I'll leave it up to you if this hassle is worth it. I just wanted to correct my previous Post in light of this new info. Ciao, Patrick
