DT isn´t really update. Just check a domain that you reg 2 hours or less later. I think they have a 12 hours delay.

Hi i use Smart Search domain tool available at http://www.nxtdomains.com to check domain names in bulk. it provides hundreds of rare combinations with good keyword domains.

Go to nxtdomains.com > domain names > register domain > smart search link

GD and Moniker have a limit of 500 names. Is there anywhere you can check thousands in one go?

I use GD or moniker bulk checker.

Actally the delay only applys if the whois is already cached.
I use DT myself and many domains I register, I can get the WHOIS right after.

Depends on the number of domains I have to check.
For less than 500, I use websites.
For more than 500, I use software like Domain Name Analyzer which quickly check up whether a domain number is taken or no. I use Domain Name Analyzer when I have like 1k or 10k domains to check. (I leave it overnight to finish the checking)
