Rascal is an unknown quantity at this point

Help pls.

Hi, this is all very confusing for me. I'm looking at buying a domain from a seller here which is currently over at GoDaddy.com. The thing is I'm looking at transfering it to NameCheap.com. Do I just open an account at Namecheap and wait for the transfer or do I need to open an account at GoDaddy too?

How much will it cost me to do the transfer? After the transfer will I need to pay Namecheap to hold on to the domain for me as well? Many thanks.

hello

you just open a account at namecheap.

you give the seller your namecheap inlogname.

and the seller will push the domain in to your account.

But it's now at GoDaddy. It works as well? Thanks.

The usual process would be:

- open an account at the registrar of the seller
- the seller push the domain to you
- you open an account at your desired registrar and request transfer there

Don't let the seller transfer the domain to avoid problems
