Depends on the registrar, but your control panel at your domain registrar should have the option to do so.

with most registrars the default is that the name is locked.
most have a control panel to either lock or unlock.

My registrar is Euro-reg.com, a UK company.

Unfortunatly, when I checked with support, they said its not locked and I would need to get a transfer request from my new supplier. This domain is parked with a company already---is this the new supplier?
