![]() ![]() | To be honest theres no hard and fast set of rules... **some** people only look at how much money the site is making per month, then if you multiply that by 10 or 12 - they would say thats a reasonable price. Other (crazy) people see Google PR as a big deal and will pay more if it has a good PageRank. Obviously the amount of traffic plays a hige part in ascertaining the value of any website. Personally I think it all depends on the type of site it is... sites with a large and active community are worth a hell of alot. Niche sites can be worth alot if they have traffic - Ive seen a small forum aimed at mothers sell for more than a busier website aimed at webmasters.

![]() | That seems ok. How much would you value this website ATM! www.designlad.com As its a new website it only has a average of 70 - 80 unique hits a day. Makes about $5 a week from google adsence but i feel could make a lot more if more ads were placed around the website - and a google pr of 4. Not the most impressive stats i know, but i also know its a new website so please bare that in mind. Traffic will start to come from www.good-tutorials.com once tutorials are accepted im sure.! |

![]() ![]() | You can check out websiteauctionhub.com . I've been designing a set of tools specifically for this purpose. So far, the tools cover content appraisal ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-newbies/237817-website-valuation.html revenue range appraisal tool traffic seo The site owner and I are preparing one on design as well. You'd be surprised how often people let their content go without thinking about the value. I also write siteflip.blogspot.com where you can get more info on flipping sites for a profit. i.e. buy, fix, sell. It also gives unpublished content in the newsletter you can put on your own sites. Hope that helps. |

![]() | There are many parameters you need to take into account. How much money the website is making? How much traffic is the website receiving? How good is the domain name? Does it rank high for some keywords? What is the google PageRank? etc... |
