changing whois info

Hi, I would like to know how whether or not it is essential to change the whois info of domains that have been pushed to me my account by others? I got to thinking this after reading this thread: http://www.namepros.com/legal-issues...re-stolen.html

If I should be doing this for security reasons why can I not find an option to do this with some registars that I have domains with?

Many thanks.

You should always keep the whois info accurate and up-to-date. You should be able to find an option to do this for ALL registrars.

It is an ICANN requirement that registrars ensure their domain-holders' whois information is up-to-date. You run the ultimate risk of losing the domain if you don't do this.
