For the most part, yes. It can depend on the domain extension/registrar as well.

Also, Transfering a domain can often times be less expensive that simply renewing it.

Use TransferYourDomain.Name. I have to admit I'm a little biased

Just go to the new registrar you desired to initiate a transfer there. Then follow the instruction on the mail you received. Remember to unlock the domain if it's locked, and check the admin email is vaild.

Check also the renewal prices so that you don't have to transfer everytime your domain to another registrar.

As convergence said renewing is usually less expensive because they want to make you their customer. Once you are relaxed and used to their system you will not be so comfy to go to another registrar for a few bucks

I was too wondering if you could transfer domains away from Namepros, I knew you could other registrars, but was unsure about Namepros.

Depending on how many domains you own (we own enough to operate two reseller accounts: RegYourDomain.Name & CDNRS.com. This allows us to transfer domains between our reseller accounts.

If you have a large portfolio, I suggest getting your own reseller account at ResellDomainsNetwork.com. We do offer a rebate on both the Basic Reseller account and the Pro Reseller account. PM me for details.
