About Free .be Domains

Hello there guys and girls. Long time no post. Anyway, I am posting just to clear up a few things. Six months ago I registered about 30 free .be domains from www.eurodns.com and tried to register a few more a few days ago. It seem like the domains are not free anymore. I am being asked for payment details however six months ago I was not. I was also wondering whether I'll have to pay a renewal fee once my domains expire within another 6 month. Also, does anyone know of any other registrars which give out free .be domains. All help is much appreciated.

It was a promotion for the .be domains... they WERE free for a short period of time. They are no longer.

Never free again. That is the history. You have to pay the money to renew the name.

yes you have to pay the renewal fee and if you don't wnat to then either drop the names or sell them

I believe the last free reg date was 31 January 2006

I got some free, but then paid for some more a few months ago.

Phew! That's a lot of renewal fees.
Still two or three good sales might cover that.

make sure your registrar does not autorenew. I picked up 10 last year.

Just curious though... I thought the freebie offer was limited to 30 names. How did you get 1500 of them?

It's good business to register 1,5k domains. He can sell them for maybe 2-3 each and he have a lot of money from 0...

Haha, that's a lot of domains. I'd say pretty good even to even sell only the best few.
