Popunders are advertisements that load into the viewer's internet browser (a second page) behind the primary PPC landing page. It's basically a pop-up ad that hides behind the requested page and is not noticed until the primary web page is closed (and then the popunder is visible). I believe you derive revenue if the internet user then clicks on the popunder ad.

Many people, myself include, really dislike popups and popunders and consider them a nuisance.

I also find popunders annoying and distracting. I guess most people find it that way.

generally the popunders involve no clicks to make money but simply pay per impressions, say 1,000 popunders= 1.00 2.00 3.00 or whatever the company wishes to pay per 1,000 impressions, so it can make you money without any clicks having to be made, it is kinda annoying to see popunders though so your decision as to what works best for your domain portfolio

those nasty things behind your browser when you're visiting like a lyrics site or something. Most visitors hate it and highly recommend against using them.

if you have a very high traffic site with a low CTR then pop-unders are a very good source of revenue.
