![]() | Want to buy a taken domain, how do I approach? Itīs a spanish domainname LLL.es but the company is re-directing to another site, LLLexample.es so it seems that they are not using the short version. How do I approach the company? Anonymously or using my corporate e-mailaddress and then also exposing my intentions? We have some other LLL.tlds aswell. This is for corporate use.

![]() ![]() ![]() | I personally wouldn't use a corporate email address. However anonymously is not the answer either. Use a personal email address and just send a well written email that you are interested in purchasing this name. Ask them to please respond one way or the other and at what price. Might be helpful to follow up with a phone call. Do not come off over anxious, just a routine inquirey. Hope that helps. best of luck!

![]() ![]() | Just write a casual letter from your personal email id. Try to find out if they have an interest in selling their domain name, and if so, at what price,

![]() | This is a very interesting topic to me... as I have sent several requests like yours to domain owners and have never even received a reply back. I understand the fact that they don't respond probably means they aren't interested... but has anyone had any luck with the "direct approach" email and had any luck with it? If so, was it just luck? Or, was it the way the email was crafted? Lastly, did you use the WhoIs email address or did you get it directly from the website for the domain? Ron |

![]() | Have anyone used a domain broker like Sedo and let them take the contact?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | My best advice is to talk to them from a personal email address and don't be too revealing in how badly you want the domain. In other words, I think it's never a bad idea to "play dumb" with them in a reasonable way. However, if you really want the domain, and have the budget to get you there, perhaps a broker is not a bad idea. |

![]() | Iīll try to contact them using a anonymous e-mail address. Our budget is quite small, about $1,400 USD is maximum for us.
