![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | What would you like to see in my software? (Your opinion matters!) As you know I'm the programmer for domain name finder, located at dnfinder.net, I'm always looking for suggestions from people to update the software with features they want to see, I plan to update every 2 weeks with new features, when people buy they get free updates for life and say in what scripts are added. I was thinking of adding in .CN or .IN support next, but does anyone have any cool ideas for a script to make searching that perfect domain easier? I was thinking of adding in IDN support as well and making a new dictionary tab for IDN dictionaries, like japanese terms etc, and a puny code converter all in one program =). I think it would be really cool. What do you guys think? What do you want to see? This is a list of the current features. ** L=Letter N=Number V=Vowel ** LL NN LN NL LLL NNN NLL LNN LNL NLN LLN NNL LVL (letter vowel letter) LLLL NNNN LVLV (letter vowel letter vowel) - finds pronounceable 4 letters (only 20,000 possible) ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-newbies/209632-what-would-you-like-see-my.html VLVL (vowel letter vowel letter) VVVV (vowel vowel vowel vowel) Full unabridged dictionary search Custom File Search Custom Dictionaries with program: - First names - Last names - Thousand most common words - Second most thousand common words TLD's Supported .COM .NET .ORG (minimal, working on fixing) .BIZ .INFO .US .CC .TV .EU (new!) That is pretty much where it stands now. Also you guys think I should invest the $300-400 for a banner at the top advertisement?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Alright I'll write a IDN to punycode converter that will check IDN lists, and I'll find those lists and add it to a IDN dictionary section. I'll also see if I can make it show a translation for those IDN's. I will also add in .IN =).

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Custom File Search lets you currently for example, say you wanted to see all the different combinations of arcade against a custom list of words or the dictionaries in my program you set where you want arcade to show in front or back, and then it'll generate a custom list and then you use that custom list with the options you want to search with (limiting by characters if you want to shorten the searches to the best) and locate the best possible keyword(combination) words or whatever you wanted to check. It's useful if you want to check every different combination of common words like, cafe, arcade, space, travel, etc.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I just finised adding in .IN , and .CN, though there whoisserver's are slow I'm adding in a missed check option so as it goes through the names it goes back to check names that were skipped do to connections being refused. I'm working on a system with proxies as well, and an overture checker for names (and automated appraisal method). It's not updated yet, but look forward to it this friday.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Allan, I'd like to see category-specific keywords that don't suck. Sounds easy, but it is actually pretty difficult to find. Also limiting number and type of characters without specifically saying "LNLN" or "LCN" etc is pretty standard. The abilityto search one or two keywords and get "recommendations" would be nice too. I've seen lots that will tell you if "BigBox.com"is available, but not many utilities that will figure out that "LargeContainer.com" is available if big and box are your keys. I don't know, seems like you've got most of the bases covered already. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=209632 IMHO, I wouldn't throw that kind of cash at a banner, when there's so much more out there that's significantly cheaper and more targeted.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks for the input, now as far as price is concerned I was thinking my price of $49.99 was fair considering the price of other software out there. I even offer discount programs for people in the industry or if they are low on cash (with conviently a lot of people seem to be =P, but I'm too nice I guess). Anyways in LLLL search they can remove certain characters from the search, I can add that ability to the LLL as well, and when I say LLL I mean 3 characters versus 4 characters, my system is designed on a character length basis. The value of words IMHO changes based on the length considerably, so there are different factors to look for with different lengths. For example dashes are good with 2 letters, but with 4 letters are worthless, etc (in general). I plan to update midnight friday I just added .CN and .IN but I'm trying to fix the missed questions. As far as dnfinder.net being down I just checked and it looks up to me. When did you try to connect? As for category specific keywords, I got firstname dictionary, last name dictionary, thousand most common words, and second most thousand common words, any dictionary reccomendations, I can throw them in with the next update. I'm thinking of getting medical terms dictionary. Since I took a course in medical terminology, I could use my data files I made for my software EZ! Medical Terminology (http://ezmedterms.com). Check it out if you want. I'm adding IDN word lists also if anyone can submit some to me that would be great! Credit will be given to your site (if you have one) in the resouces if so.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I updated the program, this update includes .CN and .IN for searches, I still need some time to add in IDN and the auto find expiring names feature since every TLD gives a different message I have to prepare something for each one, and it won't work on every TLD do to the limitations on the whois server, for example .EU is near impossible, at least until I figure out proxy support. So for now you can download to have .IN and .CN support (it's limited, slow), but it is there, and the ability to catch missed domains is in there also. It's a small update for 1.1, but do expect more by next friday, just taking me a while to figure this out. IDN is a bit complicated and so are proxies =). ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=209632 Also I'm thinking of lowering the price a bit on my program, but am still wondering on what a good price would be? Obviously free is nice, but to pay for the site I have to ask for at least something, I was thinking of making the program affordable for all domainers so there is no question to the greatness of the software =P. I was thinking lowering the price to $29.99 for now and keeping it there, that is about the price of regging one .CC name on domainsite. I think a fair price for a program that you'll be spending probably a lot more money with =P. Let me know what you guys think is a good price and a reason why it should be priced that way if you believe it should be more or less. I really appreciate it and will give rep =).

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | $29.99 seems to be the magic number I think we'll see what more people say.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | You can target different peoples income levels and what they may spend on software by making three different versions. A Basic Version for 19.99 A Standard Version for 29.99 An Advanced Version for 49.99 The Advanced Version would be the most robust and have the most features and so forth.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | That is true, I could have different levels, question is now what should be in basic versus standard, and advanced hmmm... I could have basic include all basic built in search functions allowed but you still can't load custom lists, standard allows you to do everything, and advanced will let you use the proxies and IDN abilities for extra speed or something. Any other ideas?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | yeah, I don't mind giving out my free version with LLL and NNN, cause you'll realize soon enough that every LLL in most extensions is taken, except CC and .IN so far that I've seen. Which is why I made the LVL functions and other cool tricks to pinpoint those good names for you =). I'm updating later tonight with a minor update and a change of the price to $29.99 to make it more affordable for you guys and so I can still pay my site fees. Thanks for all the kind words and suggestions.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ok guys version 1.2 is out, in this version I added 16 new dictionaries for searching, cd key validation (security measure for myself), which allows me to lower the price now to $29.99. It's just easier for me I think to keep it at one set price. The next version 1.3, will have search all extensions feature ready, but instead of one button that does it, you check the ones you want to be examined, or I may keep the button there I'm not sure yet, but check out the new version with some bug fixes and some cool new toys and .AM added at http://dnfinder.net, I'll try and add .bz or the others soon just they were a bit harder then I thought, so will take a bit.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm working on a built in IDN name converter and searcher for version 1.3 (I won't release anything till I get that in), right now though it can search already converted puny-code lists just fine, and hopefully soon I will even have proxy finders and loaders which will make my program way better. I'm also looking into overture checkers for completed lists to filter only the names with high overture if you desired. So things just got a lot better =). Overture checker will only be available to pro users though as this takes time to program and effort out of my work =). (got to feed the family somehow)
