Very Cheap Domain Registration

I found these websites

http://www.domainsarefree.com/
domain registration=$3.99

and

http://www.active-domain.com/
domain registration=$3.95

Anyone has experience registering domain with domainarefree or active-domain? They offer cheap registration but afraid the service like 1and1

domainsarefree is the same as globat.com, you can search to see more comment on it.

active-domain.com is only doing $3.95 for .info. $9.95 for .com, not cheap.

read some reviews from other users, generally you get what you pay for so the cheapest is not always the best, my personal choices are enom, namecheap, namepros, godaddy with no major problems in the years I have used them, godaddy does take a little longer to make changes if dealing with a ton of domains compared to enom or a enom based reseller. I am looking to consolidate all of my domains into 1 registrar to make things easier, waiting on moniker to see how they respond to my email, if not everything will go to enom, just make sure whoever you use gives you your own control panel so you are in full control and can transfer out should the service go bad at some point.

jay's selection of registrars is spot on....don't mess around with the junk alternatives who will only give you trouble when you least want it.

Moniker is a bit more expensive (unless you prepay big time) but it's worth it for the security.

My prenium names go to Moniker while the rest goes to eNom.

I use GoDaddy for collecting the domains that I purchased from others and also tdnam. Sometimes when I can find good coupons I register new names at GD too.

.info for $3.95 is not a good deal in these days. I for one sell them at $1.99. Also, as far as Globat goes, I'm not so sure about them
