Personally, I think domains with swear words are bad. Just as bad as swearing in public.

Swearing is for people who have neither the vocabulary nor intelligence to express themselves otherwise…

In response to first post...

From what perspective?
It may cause a problem with people linking to your site or even on searches that might put it into an adult category. I'm not 100% sure how the search engines would treat it.

But I would think it might give the site some appeal and make the site memorable especially if it was a gen x/y type site. Let's say bitchinclothes.com etc.

But alas, I'm fairly new to the game also...so let's see what some of the other more knowledgeable folks say.

I would agree but depending on the context.

I think swear words in a domain name do look bad and overall they do not seem professional and might give a bad impression about your site to the visitors even though yours won't be a porno site.

I'm getting a bit of traffic at psychoticbitch.com so I don't think it's a bad thing...might depend on the "swear" word though. Bitch is said on prime time TV and so is ass and bastard.

There is more than profit and traffic in decisions we make. I think if we clean up our language both online and in public this will be a better world in which to bring up our kids. As domainers we can do our part by not promoting a trend toward public foul language.

Depends totally on the site. On a porn site its fine - great even. However you cant build a big brand around a swear word. Dont expect "f***ingbitch.com" to be plastered on the side of vans or posters.

good for type in traffic, but like Rob said, not brandable. Maybe for a blog site but it does limit your options

You might have some trouble marketing it, or at least finding sites that will let you advertise for it.
