Hi
I'm wondering why people are asking to appraised their domain?
And how do you appraised a domain is there a tool or what are the factors in doing this.

Asking people for an appraisal on this forum is a way of gauging how valuable people feel your domain name is.
there are many sites out there that give professional domain appraisals, each site has a different appraisal criteria and each will have a different apprisal amount for your domain.

Its just like you go out in the market, request a few quotations before you buy something, the only difference here is that you are not selling, you are only getting familiar with the pricing for that particular domain!
