![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | it depends on the domain, if it's really a good one, you can ask for appraisal meanwhile you can park it at sedo if you don't want to buy hosting for it. if it's good for development, they get the script that fits it and install it and try running it. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | NEVER ,ever submit an EMPTY domain to the search engines ,If they see a dead link or worse a Empty login page , they may/will not spider the domain again for months do one of the following 1/ Place it on a parking service 2/ Create a Small parking page yourself 3/ Create or buy a Minisite (Small content filled Website ) 4/ Install a script of some type relevant to the Name (I.e. Wordpress for a BLOG , Phplinkdirectory for a Directory, phpBB for a Forum) 5/ Create/buy a full website than arrange for some backlinks from other sites , if done correctly this will ensure listing by Google,MSN and Yahoo

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ^^ Exactly. I was about to post the same thing. Submitting to search engines should be the last thing you do, not the first. When I register a domain, it's automatically parked with a domain parking company. Then when I get some time and the domain is worthwhile I'll build a mini-website on it. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Successful domaining is all about discipline and doing the small things right and right away. When I reg a name I copy and paste the name immediately - park it - and list is at sedo and afternic as well. All within 2-3 minutes of registration. Then its done. LAter I go back and optimize the parking park if its not performing and maybe list the name in a few more places for sale. - Usually I reg 3-4 at the time since I usually wait a while before regging anything - That makes parking and listing them easy and fast. I can say that every single name I own is successfully parked and listed allover the net. Minisites are definitely the way to go - BUT as of now I dont have the time.

![]() | I had a question along these lines. I want to create a larger package at a site I am developing. Is there anything open source or somewhat "cheap" that works like the my5pace stuff? I know of good bbs and phototrading software but the viral contact development would be great. Any suggestions? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Submitting it to search engines should be the last thing that you do, after it is completely developed. If theres anything wrong with it when you first submit, it may take a while to get indexed.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I change the DNS to sedo and PARK it! Then I see how that does and try to come up with ideas to develope it. Sometimes I start developing a site even before I have it in my possesion (if buying from someone else.) And like the others said, do NOT submit to search engines until you have an actual site up with original CONTENT. Do not copy anyone else's site either, you'll get banned from the search engine for duplicate content. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I water it and place it in a window so it gets some sun and wait for it to grow. ![]() I use to park them all and add them to sedo, afternic immediately, now I just forward them to my own for sale page and throw in a title and keyword and then add them to sedo & afternic, a few I have devlopement ideas for but they will have to sit for sale until I get time to do anything with them. |
