How does one go about marketing a valuable domain name?

As said in the title of this post -
How does a "Domain Name" owner market the said domain name for high profit - to the right people in need of said domain name??????????

Im confused on this one - Please add all suggestions please -

it depends on the domain you wish to market, I for one am very easy in marketing article sites because I know how to write articles and know where to submit them that gets spread fast that is if it's an article directory site of some sort.

If it's a game site, then you market to the younger ones usually in social networking site some way for them to add these games you have (make sure it's latest) and put them in their profile, bulletin board or recommend it to their other social networking site.

Would marketing to a PR person with an established company = Be out of the question? Or is this common??????????

Im guessing that would be a no no.......

marketing is best done by yourself that's for me, like I said it depends on the domain.

You can certainly market a domain name to an end user. If you find the right one, you might have some good luck in selling a name you have.

I havent sold any hi-end names So I cant tell you how BUT I tell you who can tell you. But I just read Edwins ebook and there was a lot great advice there. Definitely worth reading. There are some great examples and techniques on how to go about selling valuble names. See my report:
