Sedo Transactions

I just had an offer on one of my domains at Sedo. I accepted the bid and was wondering how long will it take before I see the money of the sale?

Any tips on this? Thanks

depends really on how quick the buyer pays and how smooth the transfer goes once instructed, also depends on how quick sedo's agent follows up on it, could take a week and sometimes 4-6 weeks worst case.

It really depends on how long it take your buyer to respond. Once you accept the offer, Sedo will notifiy that the offer has been accepted. Then the escrow begins. It could potentially take anywhere from a few days to a week or more. There's really no set time.

localpub is an unknown quantity at this point

I just read a thread on WebHostingTalk where a long-time member posted almost a horror story about his experiences with Sedo's brokerage...

Not to scare anyone away, not at all, but my longest total transfer time was 2 months and 1 day.

haha, guess my 6 week worst case wasn't long enough, slowest one I had was 5 weeks, I think the biggest factor is how quick the buyer pays his bill, thanks

Well in my case Sedo has had the money from the buyer for just over a week now but they tell me they are trying to get the buyer to agree to have the domain transferred to domains24.com Apparently the buyer wants the domain to go to Godaddy where he has an account but Godaddy cannot accept .eu transfers yet. It will take another 6 weeks or so before Godaddy is ready to accept .eu transfers. I for the $32%%^76$*&^%$ do not understand why in todays technological age everything has to be so complicated and full of problems.
