| NamePros Member | If they're not a meaningful 4 letters, then they're probably worth low to low-mid $XX. Maybe mid $XX if someone really wants it. For the most part, I think 4 letter domains without any clear meaning are currently held by speculators hoping that someone will want them. There are some that sell for a nice profit, but I wouldn't say that it's the norm. Hope that helps |

| Senior Member | Each X just stands for a number so $xx could be from 10-99 ect. If the 4 letters are pronoucable they are worth much more, at least to me. Otherwise I don't touch them at the moment, if you hold on to them though, they could be worth more in the future.

| Senior Member | Well there are still four letter .com domains available, so they aren't even worth the reg fee if crappy letters - otherwise they would have been regged already!

| NamePros Expert | Last time I checked there are over 100,000 LLLL.com's that still have yet to be registered. You may want to check the available domains area of this forum for lists on available LLLL.com's. BTW, Mitok, I see you are from Croatia. I thought I would let you know that I thought the two skiers from Croatia (the brother and sister--Kostelics) who have won medals for downhill and slalom are my two favorite athletes to watch. They are talented and humble. I only wish more athletes used them as role models. You country is blessed to have them.

| Senior Member | Hmm, no acronyms found for that. Honestly, it's not great. Maybe just about reg fee.

| VURG | I routinely update a page on website on my estimates of the number of available four letter domains. VISIT PAGE There is around 99000 (21.8%) unregistered of a total 456976. After registering 4 letter domains routinely throughout the past 10 months, I find the most effective way to purchase 4 letter domains is to generate a random list of 5000 4 letter domains and check which ones aren't registered and search for the best 10-20. Of unregistered 4 letter domains, the best ones to get are the ones that can be pronounced as brandable words. I'm not sure if I agree with athletec64 that the one syllables are usually more valuable. There is less of them but some of the best sounding 4 letter domains are have 2 syllables. Of the 4 letter domains that occasionally drop, I would say the best ones to look out for are the ones with only 2 letters. (either 2 of each letter of one repeated 3 times with another letter) These domains are hard to come across. I would say they are worth over $30. The brandable 4 letter domains will only reach be valued greater than reg fee when they run out. However there is only around 3000 - 8000 brandables left and so this will be soonish. If you read my threads or visit my website you will see that I am very interested in 4 letter domains. |
