just bought first domain, need advice

I just bought my first domain, m a z d a a t l a n t i c .com a few days ago and am wondering what i should do with it. I feel like this domain is seeing a spike in traffic now and during the next few days (due to news in the autoracing world) and will see a decent amount of traffic in the next few months.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-newbies/168731-just-bought-first-domain-need-advice.html

is there any way i can see the traffic without having a hosting? (registered through godaddy, default park page is up now)

how much do you think this domain is worth?

right now i don't have a host and don't have it 'parked'. In the long run i want to sell to a enduser, but in the meantime is there any way to make money off it? Should I get my own host (can I get one for free?) and put up ads? use an ads service?

I haven't ruled out developing it into a new site or forum site, although I don't think those options will yield a lot of profit.

Any advice is appricated, thanks.

While you are still wondering, I would park it up maybe earn alittle and wait til you decide.

This will also give you an idea of its traffic

BTW congrats on your first name and good luck

Mazda as in the car manufacturer? That's a trademarked name. I would be careful of what you do for that name. I know a lot of people do trade in TM domains, but I would just warn you that there is always the possibility of having your domain taken away, or worse, you get sued for damages.

All I'm saying is be careful, and maybe consider concentrating on generic domains instead. Possibly aftermarket, dropped names, or some of the other tlds (ie. ccTLDs). Or brandable end-user domains, but I would say they are much more difficult to sell than generics.

Just my thoughts

I would have to agree with hiweb, based on this name I don't think your heading in the right direction...

If it really is getting a lot of traffic, park it so you can attempt to monetize that traffic. BTW, what is "mazda atlantic". There's only 653 search results on Google for that term and no results on Overture for "mazda atlantic". That doesn't mean it's not getting any traffic, but what makes you think it is?

thanks for the advice. Now that i think about it, it could be a trademark issue. But i've seen many sites that include car manufacturers names that have been around for a long time without a problem, i.e. www.toyotacelicas.com. I guess the tm could make the name less valuable to a reseller though.

is the best place to park with sedo or are there better options?

If you're just starting out and only have a few names, I would definitely go with Sedo because I believe they have no requirements on # of domains or minimum traffic level to be accepted into their program. Plus, you can also list your domains for sale with them, and who knows, maybe some could be purchased
