We do not allow "discussion" threads in the appraisal section .... only Appraisals of actual domains owned by the posting member go in there .....

Thanks -

.cc all the way. .cc lends itself to more acronyms and more memorable marketing phrasees. For instance, check out my .cc webpage--www.vip.cc

The down side about .cc (when compared with .ws) is its renewal cost.

I would get the .ws because personally I have seen alot more .ws sites around then .cc and from that it might be more popular but I am not really familar with either extension.

If I had to register one of those (which I wouldn't do) I'd go for .ws. Seems to be more commonly used.

.cc and .ws; certainly
But I normally stay far away from .name

I prefer .ws over .cc myself, mainly because of the reg.costs

Re: popularity of .ws, .cc, .name extensions.

Google has indexed
4,010,000 pages with .cc extension
3,680,000 pages with .name extension
2,830,000 pages with .ws extension

Would seem that .cc is more popular than .ws (I don't understand why)
Even .name outranks .ws

I don't have any .cc or .ws, but I am building my portofilio, and would probably and some of them in the near future. However, I would not get any of them unless it's really good keywords. I tend to like more .cc more than .ws, especially when the domains are related to credit cards.

My vote is for .cc. However, I would only register good sounding domains with .cc extension, no garbage. I recently grabbed internetgambling.cc.

I prefer .ws as it has a more accepted meaning in the Domain world as " website "

.cc doesn't have a standard meaning...

A popular typo of a .com might make sense, but I don't see any value in a typo .ws

I would never buy a .ws or .cc
But, just for the thread I think I then would go for a .cc
