Resources for newbies, please

Besides this forum, which is great BTW....are there any concise and current resources such as an ebook or manual for learning this trade?

I have searched the net and not found any. I prefer something that puts all the info together as reading forums is very time consuming so if anyone knows of some, please post here.

THanks,
M

interesting.

I dont remember ever seeing a "complete" domain Business ebook. There are a few or certains sub-subject with the domain industry.

Cant beat NP though. Somuch stuff here but I hear you. Seems like a great opportunity for some domain pro to create one.

The www.DomainGuru.com pages are pretty good. I think he's got an ebook too but I am not sure.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-newbies/165026-resources-for-newbies-please.html

I kinda prefer to dig up my own info be it on Domain parking, selling, domain speculating, typo domaining, minisites, seo, etc etc.

Takes a little more time but you learn things in a better more intyeractive & memorable way. And of course the beauty of forums is that you can ask very specific questions and get answers very quickly.

cheers and welcome to NP.

I suggest alot of reading at www.dnjournal.com to see what kinds of names are selling and for how much - Duke has also done an excellent site for newbies like us - http://www.namenewbie.com/ < great place to start IMO

It has links to usefull "tools of the trade" and how to use them

There are plenty of GURUS right here at NP. Cant think of a better place to find them.

just look around. Many of the moderators and people with 1000's of posts. They know what they are talking about.

Have to agree with my Celtic cousin, Gazzip.
www.namenewbie.com is a great place to start.
It has a lot of great info and resources. I found it vey helpful and I am a complete novice at this.
As they also say , NP is a great palce to learn.I would have bought several rubbish names (well more than i have, but haven't we all ??) but for reading info on here.

Best of Luck
