automated appraisal: MIN $1,425,000.00

Hi all,

Im totally new to these forums, so forgive me if I am asking a redundant question with this new thread.

I just used the Automated Appraisal thing to evaluate my domain name (although the site is already built) for www.FXClips.com, and it came back with:

MIN $1,425,000.00
MAX $1,900,000.00

Now, I know this can't be accurate.. but needless to say I really want it to be. Soooo... as far as reliability, how much can I depend on this on a 1-10 scale?

OK I figured as much with the 1's.

So what is a good way to get a decent Appraisal? Those "pay me" ones I dont trust as .. well.. I think some 12 yr old with his first html project just doesnt suit me as a reliable source either.

Ive had other places (claimed.com) do their free apraisal service where some guy directly answers you.. this seems more realistic to me.

btw ya, Ill sell for a million

Wow, maybe check with the author of that appraisal system. If they have reason to appraise the name at $1.4 million they might consider it a bargain if you sold it to them for a couple hundred thousand.

Anyway, just ran this through the NamePros value estimator

High Retail: $400
Low Retail: $300
Wholesale: $90

That's about right valuewise.

actually.. hehe.. it was yours. But upon reading it again, the KeyWord thing.. I think I misunderstood by putting in a google keyword from my meta tags. "Video" apparently skewed it to the results I got from DNA.

It would be nice if we could get more people interested in this thing so that we may be able reach realistic numbers -the more people that participate in appraising a name the closer the appraisal aproximates what a name is really worth.
