PPC traffic question

Hi
I read the terms and conditions of a parking site as follows:

"Traffic on domains parked with [parking site] can originate from two sources only: type in (direct navigation) traffic and existing search engine results / expired traffic. All other types of traffic including bought traffic, traffic driven by PPC campaigns, traffic directed from hyperlinks are not permitted. If your traffic originates from any sources other than type-in and search engine traffic, it must first be cleared with [parking site]. "
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-newbies/163065-ppc-traffic-question.html

Now I recently acquired some high traffic domains, thinking the reason people buy these is to make PPC money off them. I notice these domains have high incoming Yahoo/MSN/Google links. Does that mean a lot of the traffic is outside the parking sites rules??

Thanks

Yahoo, msn and google are search engines. I dont see the problem, i submit links of my parked names to search engines all the time.

So the problem lies in having links to your parked page on other people's sites? I thought these type of links were a popular way of increasing traffic.

That is correct. It is a great way to increase traffic but not for your parked sites. Because the parking sites dont know if on that site your saying CLICK THIS CLICK THIS and they dont have enough time to trace back and look at every single link.

From my experience it's the other way around. The parking programs block out the search engines bots and the search engines bots block out the parking programs so the only way you can get traffic is from links from other sites and type-in traffic.

Every parked name I own with traffic has links from other sites and they are the only ones which make me money. Which is precisely why people want linkpop names. Very rarely do I ever see someone arrive via google, yahoo, etc.

So is that breaking the rules?

I don't know what parking progams toss you are looking at but for them to state they don't count linkpop names is crazy. There's only a couple of ways to have traffic and a linkpop name is one of them.

If thats what their rules say then I guess you would be as far as they are concerned. If they don't want your traffic take it elsewhere.

Sedo does not let you have links.

The parking programs don't allow you to link to your own names. IE if you have links in your sigs to your parked names, on your sites, or on your other domains for the sole purpose of driving traffic to them.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=163065

If parking linkpop names is against any parking programs tos I'd like to see them enforce it. I can guarantee you they wouldn't be in business very long. A good article regarding traffic to read.

"Take a moment to think about how people generally find web sites. In the vast majority of cases, people find web sites through:

1. Searches on Search Engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN
2. Links from other web sites
3. Typing in a domain they saw in a print ad

Where does randomly typing addresses into the location bar fall on this list? It doesn't.

A much better investment of online marketing time and money comes from focusing on strategies that address #1 and #2. It turns out that addressing #2 helps increase your visibility for #1, as described in my previous post, Top Three Search Engine Optimization Tips. It really comes down to link popularity."
