CELEBRITY-NAME.info is it worth the money?

Hello,

I just came by the unregistered CELEBRITY.info. Just a quick question - is it worth the investment? Will I be forced to surrender the domain? 'Celebrity' in this case is a woman pornstar's namesurname.

Surrendering the domain I suppose will depend on what site are you going to develop in that name. How you intend to use the name will determine the fate of the domain. If you are thinking of developing a porn site on that name then it may land you in trouble.

I don't think about developing of anything porn-related. Perhaps a short bio of the star, few non-nude pics and few ppc links.

BTW, is there any place I can find is the name trademarked and who holds the trademark? I am speaking about EU here.

The Full name Might end in you being in trouble.
But i feel The Surname doesn't matter.
You can always say Iam going to change my name to that...
And Secondly...If it is a .com/.net the concerned Porn-star might initiate Legalities but I dont think the same will happen for a .info

I own many domains of celebrity and model names (first and last name) in the .info, .us, .net and even a few .coms. I am parking most of them and they all make at least a little bit of money while some make decent money. The developed ones are doing pretty well. I (actually my cohort) even got contacted by a model's agent and am now getting pics and info before the public does for one of my sites. Anyway, I have yet to have any legal problems with any of them and if I were, it wouldn't hurt much to let go of it...I've already made money.
