Google Keywords

I just was looking at my traffic stats, and I see that 149 Hits came from Google and around 35 from MSN to my site today. Thats news to me as so far, I haven't got much SE traffic. Obviously i'm pleased, but I was just wondering is there a way to locate exactly what people are searching for when they are finding my site?

Also got a few hits from images.google as well.

Any help is appreciated.

Hopefully your hosting account comes with access to a stats program such as awstats, webalizier, webtrends, or someother type of stats generation package. These show you all of the information you'd ever want to see including search engine keywords used to get to your site.

Well, i'm stuck using 1and1 at the moment by default, and I don't see any of that

Can you not see the full URL the clicks are coming from? They keywords should be in there somewhere. If not, you'll have to go with what they guy said.

nope, just says google.com/search

Add statcounter (statcounter.com) and it will tell you search terms

You can check the with awstats if you have it in your cPanel.

That sucks, because awstats is simply the best.

I cant actually imagine not having awstats.

add some php tools that can tell you your statistics...reqquire php knowledge..
