Just curious if anyone has had good luck with .eu. Also how long has .eu been available??

It's not available until 7 December (first "sunrise" period)

Want I really wanted to undestand is this: all the SAME big names have been pre-registed on Lycos, godaddy, pool and others.

Those who are not assigned on the sunrise, and make it till the first second of the after sunrise period, which of the registrars will get it? The faster one?
I would bet on pool, I've heard they make certain agreements...
