how much in value loosing a word, as a domain name, if it has some numbers upfront like "100games" instead of "games" ?

I've seen a few decent '1(keyword)' domains, but it depends on the specific combination.

I believe generally it will lower the value of the domain.

I agree, it lowers the value, as it is harder to remember for end users.

However, if the date is unique and universally memorable (911), then its value will rise sharply.

Subtract 99-100% from its value.

Example Games.com $100,000, 100Games.com ~$10

You can still develop them though.

That will also lower the value of the domain considerably. For example:
support.com would be worth $xxx,xxx but 247support.com...well, it's a nice name, but I don't think it would be worth more than $xxx

Well, i guess if you develop a site with numbers upfront and you get good traffic, it would make a good deal if you try to sell it. I know 123Greetings isnt for salke, but if it does gets sold, wonder how many thousands would it be!

An average 3-number domain should make mid-high $x.xxx wholesale. 911.com 15K wholesale, perhaps mid $xx.xxx end user

yeah it will decrease the value of the domain but if you develop it into a good site than that will make up for it.

Hi,
I personally think it's all down to the actuall domain, look at 1shoppingcart.com, excellent site and very profitable i imagine, so i'm saying that in order for the domain/site to be worth anything, the domain AFTER the number has to be relivant and not some random name.

So general question, hmm. Using the example you gave: '100games' (with .com) gets 63 OVT w/ext result so the first thing to do is parking this name and waiting for revenue and stat. You can get even $$$ for this name (depending on stat). I just want to show there are some other parameters you must check up besides pure name construction.
