AOL is going to use MSN's search engine, cutting off about $380 million in advertising for Google, 25% of it's income.

This might force Google to be a bit more generous towards publishers.

There is a HUGE difference between M$ buying AOL and the two working together. Please double check your information next time.

Hehe, I'm surprised Microsoft hasn't bought AOL before this. They more or less bought every single competitor except Apple...

I hate AOL and their overpriced services. I'll be glad if they're gone. MSN's launching it's own publisher network in the near future as well. Google's got a lot competition.

Why is everyone treating this like Microsoft has bought AOL because they havn't, they wern't planning to buy them they were planning to buy a stake in AOL. This is not planning to buy AOL! Understand?

Microsoft were also talking to AOL to online partnership but nothing happened, it might but the talks broke down.
