| I sell on Afternic, do I need Sedo as well? I've got all my 450 domains listed and parked at Afternic. I'm wondering if I should also list my names at Sedo as well (not parking them there). My problem is that I really hate the user interface for Sedo sellers. It's so much less convenient than Afternic and major categories are missing. I tried to get them to upload a spreadsheet with the names (they offer that), but after a week they have still not done it (they do it maually). Afternic, on the other hand, uploads/downloads automatically in seconds. So, its a lot of work to enter all these domains and then keep both Afternic and Sedo up to date as I add new names.
Do people who know enough about domain names to use Afternic or Sedo to search for them really only look at one site when they need something? Wouldn't they go to both anyway? |

| I prefer afternic more, they are less crowded than sedo. Yet if you have some great names list those at sedo aswell, they seem to get a lot of high profile names sold through them like news.net etc. |

| Wouldn't someone who has the cash to buy a high profile name check both Sedo and Afternic? |

| I dont understand why not every single domain out there isnt at least listed at sedo. Why wouldnt you. You list it onceand its done. Free exposure.
The questions should one do afternic since there's a sign up. If you have a portfolio over 50 names I think afternic starst to make sense as well.. |

| Which one has more names?
Which one was first in the market?
Which one is growing more quickly?
Also, how important are categories? Sedo's categories suck. I have lots of alternative energy names and there is not even a category for this. Afternic at least has Business/Energy.
Other than categories of 3-letter or word and phrase categories, do people really shop through the categories? I never do because there are so many names in a category, and many people have their names listed without a category anyway. I just search for the words I want. |
