I think a good keyword domain will help with search engine optimization, thus your site will be returned higher in SE and receive more traffic.

I agree, though I think the effect is indirect. What I mean is that people often link to your site using your domain name as the anchor text. If your domain includes your keywords, then those keywords appear in the anchor text, which should eventually help your site score high in the serp's for those keywords. That's as far as search engine optimization goes.

If you intend to rely on other sources of traffic, such as printed advertising, you might just want to keep your domain something that human users will find pleasant, memorable and easy to type in their address bar.

Yes, obviously. Fun.com is going to get more traffic than sdflksdjflksdjlkfjdlksfdjklfd.com.

Of course the Name Determines traffic
Otherwise why worry about choosing good names

You can get traffic for terrible names ,but only by promoting and using links
no one is going to directly type in dsdsds.com ,but if a keyword search for
"Poker" or "Big Girly Bumps" has a link to dsdsds.com as Number 1 Result then you will get excellent Traffic.

However a GreatName like "poker.com" will get direct type-in Traffic

Hmm - On the other hand .... You can Brand nearly any name for a Subject - But I wouldn't suggest buying Catlegs.com to sell Giraffe TurtleNecks

Yes, it does.....in terms of my website, it probably doesn't because the domain isn't something you would type in.

I like your site, however only .biz available for littlechina, why don't you find some catchy names yourself. Only you understand your theme thoroughly.

It's just good for visitors to remember the domain name easily. But nothing special with the SE's. I have a domain name like asdfdsadf.com and it has PR 5 and many SEs like my site.

Yes indeed. I regged 90% of my domains as having OVT with ext. already so they had to have some traffic (and they have).
