| DNOA Certified Seller | Ebay Auction Complaint I've noticed a lot of ebay auctions for domain names lack a few things that I feel are necessary. For example: Registrar Expiration Date Transfer Fee or "Free Push" Any fees whatsoever clearly stated Also, I got trapped into buying a name from a guy that had a $5 shipping and handling charge on the domain. I thought that would be for the transfer fee, but no, that was just his shipping and handling fee. Transfer was extra. So I paid the transfer fee since I didn't want to risk my rep, and he said I still had to pay the insurance fee. Insurance? So I paid that too, since sure enough, there was a mandatory $5 insurance on the listing. So I ended up paying I think $20 extra dollars after the auction, and you know what ended up happening? The name was registered with Yahoo, and they don't offer pushes. It had only been registered 15 days, not long enough for the 60 day rule. So he had to refund ALL of my money ![]() Sorry for the novel, it's just one of my pet peeves.

| mellowmasher.com Forum Moderator | I agree this information would be nice to have to hand but as I have done on a few occasions now, if I am interested I just email the questions I have and they answer Like with everything being sold at ebay it is very wise to read all the small print so that you are not caught out on any payment details

| DNOA Certified Seller | From: http://www.icann.org/transfers/policy-12jul04.htm " The Registrar of Record may deny a transfer request only in the following specific instances: ... 8. A domain name is in the first 60 days of an initial registration period. it's an Icann rule that you can't transfer a name to another registrar until after a 60 day waiting period.

| DNOA Certified Seller | Here's a neat thing I just saw on one domain auction...they have the domain temp. redirect to that auction listing just to prove they do in fact own the domain.
