Is there any free .com domain services?

I am trying to get a domain name ( http://www.lom-online.com/ ) .. but.. I can't.
My mom won't let me have a credit card, a PayPal account, or anything that has to do with money.
Is there anyone who could give me this free domain name, or help me get it, please?

oh!! and.. I don't need a host, just a domain name. I have my own Apache and MySql Server. ^_^

Without having to sign up for some offer or register at the cost of the domain (both of which require some method of payment), your best bet is probably registering through NamePros using NP$. Avoid to post the name you want to register before really register it ! If someone want to do a bad joke, he could register the name before you...

I would stick with Namepros. If yo dont want that then you probably are not going to find a goo free and decent one.

Funny! Just making that tread and post is getting you closer to getting a domain for free. Also to answer your question, it costs money to register domains. You can ask friends and do favors for a domain that is what I had done before.

Somehow you need to find a family member who will use their credit card to purchase the .com

Even if you could get it free I wouldn't because they would likely not register it in your name or find a way to hold it for ransom to get more $ from you.

Keep bugging your Mom or anyone else you can

Actually joynic used to be great, but now they have banners and ads all over the place of your site ... but aside from the, the TT (I liked to call it Top Tier - LOL) extension was very cool and memorable

And in answer to those of your wondering if he has contacted me ,no ,but I can afford to wait. I buy them w'sale at a lot less then 495NP$

And the Server he is describing is probably his PC , I have hosted Web-names on my own PC using Linux and Apache for ages. As Slow as your Internet connection is ,it can still be an effective way to start out
